Components of water supply systems:
- Water meters: measure water consumption
- Stop valves: control water flow to appliances and fixtures

Pipeworking involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes and fittings
Types of pipes:
- Copper: durable, resistant to corrosion, and expensive
- PEX (cross-linked polyethylene): flexible, resistant to freezing, and cost-effective
- PVC (polyvinyl chloride): rigid, resistant to corrosion, and affordable
Pipe fittings:
- Elbows: change direction of pipes
- Tees: connect three pipes
- Couplings: connect two pipes

Hand tools:

- Pliers: grip and bend pipes
