(D) creates an original or derivative ICT content to effectively communicate or present data or information related to specific professional tracks WORD PROCESSORS Word Processors Can you give me an example of a Word Processor that you know? Word Processors -is an electronic device or computer software application that performs the task of composing editing, formatting, and printing of documents. Word Processors Word processing software is designed for creating, editing, formatting, and printing documents. It allows users to perform a wide range of tasks, from writing letters and reports to designing complex documents with images and tables. EXAMPLES OF WORD PROCESSORS OPENOFFICE WRITER LIBREOFFICE WRITER POLARIS OFFICE KINGSOFT WRITER WORDPERFECT WORDPAD MICROSOFT WORD OPENOFFICE WRITER LIBREOFFICE WRITER POLARIS OFFICE WRITER KINGSOFT WRITER WORDPERFECT WORDPAD MS WORD MS WORD → a word processor developed by Microsoft → It was first released on October 25, 1983. MS WORD using Shortcut Keys How to open MS Word using shortcut keys? Press “Windows Logo” + R then type, “winword” then press “enter”. MS WORD using Shortcut Keys Parts of the MS WORD Quick Access Toolbar - By default it displays icons for save, undo, and repeat but it can be customized to include commands you use frequently. Title Bar - This displays the name of the current open document, when opening a new file is always displays Document1 (or 2, 3, 4 etc.) until you save and name the file. Ribbon - Displays the Tabs that you will use throughout Word. Each tab contains groups and each group contains related commands. Commands can be buttons, menus or drop down lists. Parts of the MS WORD File Tab - This tab displays the Backstage View where you will have the options to create, save, open and close documents amongst other options. Ruler - There are horizontal and vertical rulers that display when you are in Print Layout View. The horizontal ruler shows the placement of margins, indents, and tabs. You can also show and hide these rulers by using the View Ruler button. Text Area - This is where your text, images, etc will be displayed. Parts of the MS WORD Status Bar - This displays the page number, page count, document view buttons, and zoom control. It will also display current mode of operation and can be customized to include other functions. View Buttons - This is used to switch between views such as Print Layout, Full Screen Reading, Web Layout, Outline, and Draft View Screen Tips - Appear when you point to a command on the Ribbon, it includes the name of the command along with a description of what that command does. Parts of the MS WORD Scroll Bars - Use these with your mouse to move up, down, right or left within the document. Contextual Tabs - Provide additional tools and options related to the selected object. Document Views - Allows you to change how you view the document (e.g., Print Layout, Web Layout, Draft). Pictures, clip art, and screenshots can be inserted into PowerPoint to help you effectively communicate your ideas to your audience. Features of MS PowerPoint Slide Transitions Transitions are motion effects that when in Slide Show view add movement to your slides as you advance from one slide to another.
