PULMO-X: AN ANDROID-BASED APPLICATION FOR THE DETECTION OF PULMONARY DISEASES USING CHEST X-RAY IMAGES OVERVIEW Introduction Existing Systems Tools used to Develop Problem Methodology Statement Interface Screenshots Architecture Scope Result Flow chart Conclusion Features INTRODUCTION The risk of lung diseases is enormous, especially in developing and low-middle-income countries, where millions of people are facing poverty and air pollution. Respiratory diseases, including pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB), COVID-19, and pneumonia, are among the most common diseases clinically. Misdiagnosis is common in primary hospitals and can lead to inappropriate treatment, prolonged recovery time, and limited experience of doctors at primary hospitals, which also worsens the situation. PNEUMONIA Pneumonia is an infection in the lungs, affecting the alveoli, the small air sacs in the lungs. According to the estimation of WHO, over 3.2 million premature deaths occur annually from household air pollution- related diseases, including pneumonia. Graphical analysis of pneumonia is shown Figure 1: Shows cases of Pneumonia from different age group in Figure 1 COVID-19 The COVID-19 global pandemic affects health care and lifestyle worldwide, and its early detection is necessary to control cases. Since late December 2019, a novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been causing serious lung damage and breathing problems. TUBERCULOSIS Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by germs that are spread from person to person through the air. A person with TB can die if they do not get treatment. Approximately, 1.5 million people died from TB in 2020 as shown in Figure 3. The accuracy level of our pre-trained model is 90%.
