Understand the importance of security access and accountability. * * CHAPTER 1: WEEK 1 Introduction to Information Technology in Hospitality/Tourism Industry; Laboratory Policies; Creating PMS Log-in Credentials * THE HOTEL BUSINESS Hotel business is hospitality business. Its business is to serve guests, provide cordial reception and treatment of guests. To survive and prosper it must meet the guest’s ever-changing demands. SIGN-IN TO My Hotel EDITION This is the Log in screen, Log in using your Username and Password set by the Administrator or the Technical Support person. After your done click the Login button. LOG OUT TO PMS This is the Log Out screen, Log out using your Username and Password set by the Administrator or the Technical Support person. After your done click the Login button. The Main Page Control Buttons This control buttons lets you access quickly on the functions of this system. CHAPTER 2: WEEK 2 RESERVATIONS CREATING NEW RESERVATIONS Learning outcomes: At the end of the lesson the students should be able to: Create a new reservation with telephone or online reservation and walk in guests. CREATING NEW RESERVATION For new reservation just click the reservation button on the quick buttons located at the upper view of the main page then CREATING NEW RESERVATION To create a new guest profile click the New button at the bottom right of the guest searching window and it will automatically direct you to the Guest Profile Module Fill up this guest profile module and when done click Save to record this guest profile. Guest Profile Module After filling up the module and saving the profile, a pop-up window appears showing that the data is successfully updated. Click OK to continue the Walk In Reservation For walk in, just click the reservation button on the quick buttons located at the upper view of then main page then click Walk In. The guest searching module will automatically appear and shows all the list of the guest profile. If there is a new guest click New button to open the guest profile Guest Profile Module (Walk In) Fill up the module then click Save to record the profile of the guest. CHAPTER III: WEEK 3 GUEST SEARCHING, UPDATING GUEST PROFILE & ROOM PLAN Guest Searching (Reservation) For GUEST SEARCHING click the reservation button on the quick buttons located at the upper view of the main page Guest Searching (Reservation) This is the table was you can find the profile of a guest. You can search them by last name or first name then press enter. Guest Searching (Reservation) You can see at the upper table the guest profile list. At the bottom table you can see the booking history details shows all the history of the guest you selected. Guest Searching (Reservation) If the guest already had a profile, just search his/her profile. Select the profile in the list then click select to use his/her profile. Reservation Info. The profile you selected is automatically used in the other fields on this module. As you see there is a table below shows the availability of each room type for the date of reservation. Finish filling up the rest of reservation info module. When done click Save to proceed into transaction. Reservation Info. Another window will appear asking if you want to proceed transacti on. Just click Data Successfully saved. Reservation Successful! Confirmatio n No. 001- 0000002. Click OK to continue. Guest Information This module shows all the information of the reservation. You can add more information of the guest in the guest general information at the top of this module. Guest Information If the transaction have a free meal/s just check the box. For breakfast check the BF, for lunch check the LN, for dinner check the DN and if all three are free you can just check FullBoard and it will automatically check all three meals. Guest Information When done filling up this module, click Update to save the record you made and a window appears asking if you want to proceed to transaction then click Yes. If the data is successfully updated click OK. Click Cancel Transaction to end the guest reservation. Room chart Click the reports button on the room chart buttons. Room Chart Room chart shows the list of guest in plotted date. CHAPTER IV: WEEK 4 * FRONT DESK * CHECK IN & CANCEL CHECK IN Arrival Tab/check in Click the Front Desk button on the quick buttons located at the upper view of the main page then click Arrival or. ⦿ These are the list of all the guest who reserved a room today that is expected to arrive. ⦿ Select the record of the guest that will check in. Check-in - will register that the guest will occupy a room service in the hotel. When you click the check in button a pop out window appears and will tell you if the guest is successfully checked in or not. Cancel check in Click the Front Desk button on the quick buttons located at the upper view of the main page then click In Cancel check in Click Cancel Check In if the guest want to cancel the stay in the hotel or if you made a mistake in checking in a wrong guest. Cancel check in A confirmation will appear asking if you want to proceed to transaction. Another window shows you that the cancelation is done.
