Microsoft Word 2013 Objectives To know the parts of Microsoft Word 2013 To learn the shortcut keys and uses of each key. To create different types of document using Microsoft Word 2013. Page setup and Properties Page Format / Layout This topic provides useful ways to enhance and manipulate the pages of the document. Page Size, Orientation, and Margins 1. To set the orientation of the page, user must refer to Page Layout Tab > Page Setup.Select the Margins button adjust the margin of the page. 2. User can select from the Margins lists but user can Also customize by clicking Custom Margins. Page Size, Orientation, and Margins 3. Under Margins Tab, Set 1 inch for Top, Right, and Bottom part of the Page, while 1.5 inch for left portion of the page. Page Size, Orientation, and Margins 4. User can also change the Paper Size and Orientation in the Paper Tab or user may refer to Page Setup Group for the Orientation and Size Button. Changing The Column Pages of the document can be partitioned into different columns. 1. Select Columns from Page Setup Group Number of Columns to choose from will Display. 2. Select Two Columns. The page will then be divided into two parts. Changing The Column Refer to ruler for the margin of each column. Select View Tab the tick Ruler Checkbox. Adding Page Borders 1. Adding Watermark Inserting Shapes, WordArt, SmartArt and Pictures Inserting Shapes 1. Press ALT +N +SH or simply click Shapes button of Insert Tab > Illustrations Group 2. Select heart shape and draw a heart shape. Inserting Shapes 3. Right click the shape the select add text 4. Type your name inside the heart shape. Set the text at the center alignment. Select Shape Outline the Select Weight then Select 6pt Inserting Wordart 1. At the bottom of heart shape, press ALT + N + W or Insert Tab > Text Group > Wordart to display the Wordart Styles. 2. Select your Wordart Style then type your nickname. Inserting Picture 1. Insert picture at the bottom of text , Press ALT + N + P + F or click Picture Button. Inserting Picture 2. Every time the picture is selected, a sizing handle will also appear to resize the picture. The small circle is used to rotate the picture. Inserting Picture 3. Picture tools will appear o top, Then Select Beveled Oval, Black. Inserting Picture 4. Select Picture Border Button the select Weight and click 2 ½ pt. Select again Picture Border Button the select your desired Color. 5. Select Picture Effects from Picture tools then select Grow. Inserting Picture 6. In the picture tools select Wrap text button. Inserting SmartArt 1. Press ALT N + P or click Insert Tab then Select Smart art 2. From the SmartArt Graphic List select Relationship. 3. Select Non Directional Cycle and click Ok button Inserting SmartArt 4. The screen will also display SmartArt Tools to help you in Editing your SmartArt Graphics. Inserting SmartArt 5. In each box, type the name of your friends. 6. You may want to change the color and Smart arts style. ALT + N + H or click Insert Tab > Header and Footer Group > Header Button to add Header text. 2. Select from available list , you may select Banded. 3. Type My Project 1 as the document title. Inserting Page Numbering 1. Press ALT + N + NU or click Page Number Button from header & Footer Group. 2. Select the location of the page number in the document.
