Effective management requires a comprehensive approach encompassing medical treatment, lifestyle adjustments, and supportive care. WHAT IS HYPERSENSITIVITY? Hypersensitivity, also known as an allergy, is an overreaction of the immune system to normally harmless substances called allergens. When someone is allergic to something, their body mistakenly identifies it as a threat and releases chemicals to try to fight it off. This can cause symptoms like sneezing, itching, rashes, or trouble breathing. WHAT IS HYPERSENSITIVITY?
