Ninth, eleventh, and thirteenth chords are extended chords. Whole Tone Scale A scale made up exclusively of whole tones Pentatonic Scales musical scale containing five different tones. FAMOUS IMPRESSIONIST COMPOSER Achille-Claude Debussy the first Impressionist composer. born to a modest family with little cultural involvement. he showed enough music skills to be accepted in France leading music school to conservatory in paris, at age 10. he first studied piano, but bhis passion for innovative composition, despite critics from his conservative professors. Achille-Claude Debussy he influenced by the Symbolist poetic movement of the late 19th century. he regarded classical music as obsolete. he focused on chamber music for different combinations of instruments.
