# Muscular System * **Different types of muscle** * Skeletal muscle - the specialised tissue that is attached to bones and allows movement. * Smooth muscle - located in various internal structures including the digestive system. * Cardiac muscle - the muscle specific to the heart. * **Cardiac muscle** makes up the thick middle layer of the heart. * **Muscles** work together with bones to move the body. * **Smooth muscles** are responsible for moving food through the digestive system. # Skeleton System * **The Skull** - Brain is protected by the skull. * **The rib cage** function is to protect the organs inside the chest, These organs include the heart and lungs * **The femur**, is the large upper leg bone that connects the lower leg bones (knee joint) to the pelvic bone (hip joint). * **The humerus** is your upper arm bone. * **Vertebral column** - Also called spinal column, spine, and vertebral column. # Skeleton System * **The type of joint** found at the shoulder is ball and socket joint where one end of the bone is rounded and ball like. * **Your clavicle** (collarbone) is a long, slightly curved bone that connects your arm to your body. * **The vertebrae** surround and protect the spine cord. # What is Medicine * Medicine helps people who are sick feel better. * **Forms of Medicine** - Medicines come in different forms like pills, liquids, or creams.
