Assignment 8 Format the Text to Make It Easy to Read Use formatting techniques to make the Fun Fact Card look great. Open the Fact Card in Word Format the Font  Select the title.  From the Home tab, click the Font arrow. Pick a font from the list....

Assignment 8 Format the Text to Make It Easy to Read Use formatting techniques to make the Fun Fact Card look great. Open the Fact Card in Word Format the Font  Select the title.  From the Home tab, click the Font arrow. Pick a font from the list. Pick a font that is easy to read. It should make the title stand out on the page. Format Font Size  Select the title.  Click the Font Size arrow. Pick a font size from the list.  Place the cursor in the Font Size box. Type in a value, such as 29. Press ENTER.  Click Increase Font Size and Decrease Font Size.  Use a font size that makes the title stand out on the page. Format Font Style  Select the title.  Click each font style to turn it ON.  Bold – make the letters darker  Italic – slant the letters to the right Underline – place a line below letters Click the Underline arrow  to pick a line style.  To turn OFF a style, click on it again. You can set the outline, shadow, reflection, and glow. Format the Font Color  Select the title.  Click the Font Color arrow. Pick a color. Pick More Colors to see more choices. Align Text  Select the title.  From the Paragraph group on the Home tab, click on each alignment option:  Align Text Left  Center  Align Text Right  Choose an alignment that makes the title look great. Format the Headings using Format Painter  Use your skills to format the first heading.  Select the first heading.  Double click Format Painter. Click and drag over each heading to quickly make it look the same.  Click Format Painter again to turn it OFF. Pick a color. You may want to change the color of text.  Use your skills to highlight the terms to make them stand out. Create a Bulleted List of Glossary Terms  Select the text in the glossary (not the heading).  Click the Bullets arrow. Pick a bullet style.  To remove an unwanted bullet, select the text and click Bullets again. Adjust the Line Spacing for the Glossary of Terms  With the terms still selected, click the Line Spacing arrow. Pick an option. White space makes text easier to read. Add Shading to the Glossary of Terms  With the terms still selected, click the Shading arrow. Pick a color. Click it again to indent the list even more!  Click Decrease Indent.  Pick the indentation that looks best. It is easy to fix a mistake. Use Undo or Redo. Use Skills to Make the Text Look Great Use your skills to make the fact card look attractive! In the next assignment, you will add pictures and adjust page layout.
