GRADE 6 - CHE - SUMMARY - SEPTEMBER - 2024 ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025 PRAYER Learning Indicators: Explain the meaning of prayer in the life of Christians. Understand the meaning of the Lord's Prayer as a prayer that reflects the behavior of daily life. Bible reading: Psalm 32:6; Romans 12:12; Matthew 6:9-13  Romans 12:12, "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and persevere in prayer!"  The Bible advises us to always pray because that is God's will!  For Christians prayer is the breath of life. Meaning: prayer is a Christian need! Breathing is a daily human activity, every hour, even every second. Breathing proves human life. With the cessation of this activity (breathing), it means that humans are physically dead, there is no life anymore. Likewise, prayer for Christians, is as important as the breath of life.  Psalm 32:6, "Therefore let every godly person pray to you while you can be found; indeed, when the great flood occurs, it does not overwhelm them."  The verse above wants to explain that if we pray to God earnestly, and diligently every day, then God will protect us from all kinds of dangers.  Therefore we must be more diligent or diligent in praying so that our spirituality will grow and be strong in all circumstances, just like a tree that keeps getting taller, even though it is hit by a strong wind it does not fall because it is supported by strong roots. 1) DANIEL → Daniel 6:11, “For the sake of Daniel's hearing that the warrant had been made, he went to his house. In the upper room there were windows that opened towards Jerusalem; three times a day he knelt down, praying and praising his God, as he usually did.” BS/2024/09/EL6/SUM/CHE Page 1 2) JABES → 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, “Jabes is more glorified than his brothers; the name Jabez was given to him by his mother because she said: "I gave birth to him in pain." Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, saying: "May You bless me abundantly and enlarge my territory, and may Your hand be with me, and protect me from calamity so that pain does not overtake me!" And Allah granted his request.” 3) HANA → 1 Samuel 1:3, That man from year to year left his city to bow down to worship and offer sacrifices to the LORD of hosts in Silo. → 1 Samuel 1:11, Then he made a vow, saying: "Lord of hosts, if you really pay attention to the suffering of your servant and remember me and do not forget your servant, but give your servant a son man, then I will give him to the LORD for all his life, and the razor will not touch his head. → 1 Samuel 1:20, So a year later became pregnant with Hana and gave birth to a son. She named the boy Samuel, because she said, "I asked him of the Lord. 4) ISAAC → Genesis 25:21, "Isaac prayed to the LORD for his wife, because she was barren; the LORD answered his prayer, so that Rebekah, his wife, became pregnant." The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. BS/2024/09/EL6/SUM/CHE Page 2 BS/2024/09/EL6/SUM/CHE Page 3
