CARDIAC BED MISS: MINAL DAMBHARE NURSING TUTOR LEARNING OBJECTIVES  GENERAL OBJECTIVES:-  At the end of the lecture the first year students will be able to gain knowledge.  SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE:- Define the cardiac bed. Explain the purpose of cardiac bed. List down the articles of cardiac bed. Explain the procedure of cardiac bed. CARDIAC BED “A cardiac bed is used to help the patient to assume a sitting position, which can afford him greatest amount of comfort with least strain.” PURPOSES To relives dyspnea caused by cardiac diseases To provide comfort with least strain To reduce work load of heart in cardiac diseases ARTICAL  A tray containing - Duster 2 - A bowel with disinfectant solution (1:20 savelon) - Kidney tray  Chair or stool to keep the clean linen  Hamper or dirty linen basket  Clean bed linen- Bottom sheet (1) Top sheet (1)  Draw sheets  Pillow cover  Mackintosh  Cardiac table  Linen bag/ Laundry bag  Back rest  Air cushion/ foot rest S R.
