What is CTT? = the assumption that peoples observed score is comprised of their true score plus error We never actually know how much error there is in an observed score so we never know someones real true score but by aiming to reduced the error to as small as possible we know its closer to their true score. What is random error? = error you are unable to predict What is systematic error? = variable that are constant that you can account for 3006PSY content Page 29 Test construct - are you measuring everything you want to measure Test admin - you might not be motivated or sick or room temp What are each of the error variance? = look at slide Standard error of measurement = a statistic used to estimated the extent to which an observed score deviated from a true score (measure the difference between scores) Standard error of the mean = a measure of sampling error (compare the samples) Standard error of the score = an index of the extent to which one individual's scores vary over tests presumed to be parallel (the difference between scores on different tests) Standard error of the difference = a statistic used to estimate how large a difference between two score should be before the difference is considered significant. Reliability coefficient or estimate is like looking at ctt but now instead of individual score its looking at variance or true variance and error variance Just as a quick refresh variance is looking at how much score vary from one another, this can be shown in standard deviations 3006PSY content Page 30 Internal consistency is used in the assessment 3006PSY content Page 31 Understand this slide, a problem with Cronbachs @ What are the types of reliability? 3006PSY content Page 32 3006PSY content Page 33 Am I covering the content of the entire construct? 3006PSY content Page 34 3006PSY content Page 35 3006PSY content Page 36 3006PSY content Page 37 Week 4 Test Development Wednesday, 11 September 2024 11:11 AM 3006PSY content Page 38 3006PSY content Page 39 3006PSY content Page 40 3006PSY content Page 41 3006PSY content Page 42 3006PSY content Page 43 3006PSY content Page 44 3006PSY content Page 45 3006PSY content Page 46 3006PSY content Page 47 3006PSY content Page 48 3006PSY content Page 49
