See “Profiling” for more information. Enabling Crash dumps Part 1 The Xbox doesn’t automatically generate crash dump files. This can be a problem if we experience a crash in-game. These profiles mean that the console can accurately behave like other consoles in the Xbox family. This can affect how a game behaves so on rare occasions you may be asked to change the environment. The environments are as follows: Anaconda – Native Xbox Series X Lockhart – Xbox Series S Scarlett – Xbox One To change the Profiling Mode: 1. From the Dev Home Menu select Performance. 2. Select the Console Mode dropdown. 3. Choose the Profiling Mode required. 4. The console will restart to reflect your changes. Troubleshooting Network issues/ disconnections: if you are experiencing connection problems be sure the Network Simulation is off. 1. Go to the Debug Menu 2. Select Networking 3. Check that Network Simulation is off If simulation is on “No connection” or “Minimum supported” could cause network problems. Also ensure the ethernet cable is in the correct port. If the title cannot be accessed: 4. Ensure the Sandbox is correct. 5. Ensure you are using the correct Xbox account assigned to you for the project. 6. Ensure the profiling environment is correct. See “Profiling” for more information Initialising You may be required to initialise your console before returning it to Build and Distribution. This is so your console can be used by other testers without breaching NDA. To initialise an Xbox: 1. First go to Settings. 2. Select System from the list on the left and select Console info. 3. From here, select Reset console. 4. Select RESET AND REMOVE EVERYTHING and your console will initialise. Do not be concerned if your console restarts after initialising, this is normal. Switching Off the Console To switch off the console correctly: 1. Press the Xbox Button 2. Scroll down and select the Power Icon 3. Select Turn off console 4. Important: Wait until the console is completely turned off before unplugging it from the power supply. Alternatively, press and hold the Xbox button and select “Turn off console”.
