Definition: An electoral district is a special area where people vote for leaders to represent them. Who it Affects: People in the U.S. vote for leaders who will represent both the place they live and the people who live there. 2. How Do Leaders Represent Different Areas? Examples of Leaders: In the U.S., the president, members of Congress, governors, and many other leaders are elected based on these areas.
