Not much would get sold Consumers wouldn’t know about products Manufacturers wouldn’t have research to know what to make Importers, wholesalers & retailers wouldn’t have channels of distribution to get products to consumers BRAND What is the “personality” of these brands? The brand is the personality and image of the product. Companies spend a lot of $$ to develop their brand. Branding consists of 3 things: Brand Name Slogan Logo 1) BRAND NAME A brand name is a word (or group of words) that a business uses to distinguish its products from competitor products 2) LOGO A logo (trademark) is a combination of company name and/or a special symbol associated with the product Monogrammatic Visual Symbol Abstract Symbol 3) SLOGAN A slogan is a short, catchy phrase that is attached to the company name and logo.
