Have you ever used a device that can talk to other devices or the internet on its own? Objectives : Objectives : What makes the IOT Definition & Examples of IoT Internet of Uses. in Our Lives. Things? IOT Definition : IoT refers to the network of physical objects—“things”—embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies that connect and exchange data over the internet. These objects can range from simple household devices to complex industrial machines. Devices/Sensors: These are physical objects like What sensors, cameras, or machines that collect data (e.g., temperature, motion, or location). They connect to the internet and often have unique IDs. makes the Connectivity: IoT devices use different types of Internet of connections (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, etc.) to send the data they collect to a central system or cloud. Things? Data Processing and Analysis: Once the data reaches the cloud or a central server, it’s processed, analyzed, and sometimes used to trigger actions, like turning on a light or alerting a user via an app. User Interface: Include a representation of how users interact with the IoT system, such as through a smartphone app or voice commands. IOT uses : Home Automation Healthcare Agriculture Transportation Industrial Automation Examples of IoT in Our Lives: Search about the following examples of IOT CONNECTED CONNECTED CARS. HEALTH. ExaApplications in Real Lifemples of IoT in Our Lives: Smart Home Devices: Voice-controlled lights, smart fridges that notify you when groceries run low, and security cameras connected to your phone. Wearables: Devices like fitness trackers monitor heart rates, steps, and sleep patterns. Smart Agriculture: Sensors in soil to monitor moisture levels and automate irrigation systems. Research : Research how IoT is being used in industrial automation. Write a case study on a specific company or industry, detailing the IoT technologies being used and their impact on productivity, efficiency, and safety.
