Water station and LPG station Most Common Small Businesses in the Philippines Sari-sari Store – situated in almost neighborhoods; it is one of the easiest businesses to set up due to the minimal capital required; manage at home. Rice Retailing – very common business in the country. Food Cart Business – usually located inside or outside the malls, schools, parks, train stations and offices; usually under franchising arrangement. Most Common Small Businesses in the Philippines Printing Business – lucrative in our country (high demand); usually situated near schools and offices. Buy and Sell Business – one of the emerging business not just in brick-and-mortar stores but also over the internet; most efficient and practical way. Hair styling and make up Business – one of the successful business in our country (parlors and barber shops); Filipinos are conscious about proper grooming and hygiene. Most Common Small Businesses in the Philippines Street Business – literally located in streets, selling almost the same food products being sold by the food cart business. Flea market or Tiangge– entrepreneurs set up a small space and sell any type of goods normally in an open space; customers can bargain the price. Online Business – deals with adding the internet as a marketing and transaction channel for selling. Most Common Small Businesses in the Philippines Cellphone Loading Business – 80% of Filipino households have access to mobile phones; some link their loading business in sari-sari store, food cart and online business. Laundry and Dry Cleaning Business – located at central business districts and areas with several condominiums and townhouses; near schools, dormitory and apartments. Most Common Small Businesses in the Philippines Spa, Gym and Nail Care Business – one of the ways Filipinos cope up with stress is by going to spa; gym - becoming health conscious; nail care – manicure and pedicure. Video and Photography Business – requires a talent in capturing precious moments of celebrators; gaining popularity because of social media. Bar, Café and restaurant – food enthusiasts has increased because the Filipino palate became globalized.
