# Brain Model The image shows a model of a human brain. Different areas of the brain are highlighted and labeled. ## Areas of the Brain * **Primary somatosensory cortex on postcentral gyrus:** Located at the back of the brain, this area is responsible for processing sensory information from the body, such as touch, temperature, and pain. * **Somatosensory association:** This area is involved in the interpretation and understanding of sensory information received by the somatosensory cortex. * **Visual association:** This area helps interpret visual information received by the primary visual cortex. * **Primary visual:** This part of the brain processes raw visual information. * **Primary motor cortex on precentral gyrus:** This area controls voluntary movements. * **Premotor cortex:** This region is responsible for planning and coordinating movement. * **Frontal lobe:** This is a large part of the brain related to higher-level cognitive functions such as planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and personality. * **Limbic system:** This system is involved in emotions, memory, and motivation. The brain model also shows the different lobes and structures of the cerebrum, including the limbic system. Letters and other markings are used to distinguish different areas, such as A, B, C, D, and E. The model visually represents parts of the brain, aiding in the study of neuroscience and anatomy.
