ENTREPRENEURSHIP It is a proactive process of developing a business venture to make a profit. It involves seeking opportunities for a market, establishing and operating a business out of the opportunity, and assessing its risks and rewards through close monitoring of the operations. ENTREPRENEURSHIP Entrepreneurship is when an individual who has an idea acts on that idea, usually to disrupt the current market with a new product or service. Entrepreneurship usually starts as a small business but the long-term vision is much greater, to seek high profits and capture market share with an innovative new idea. ENTREPRENEURSHIP Entrepreneurs are innovators. They are willing to take the risks and generate unique ideas that can provide profitable solutions to the needs of the market and the society. Why entrepreneurship subject is part of SHS CURRICULUM? ENTREPRENEURSHIP Entrepreneurship education aids students from all socioeconomic backgrounds to think outside the box and nurture unconventional talents and skills. It creates opportunities, ensures social justice, instills confidence and stimulates the economy. ENTREPRENEURSHIP Entrepreneurship education is a lifelong learning process, starting as early as elementary school and progressing through all levels of education, including adult education. ENTREPRENEURS The word "entrepreneur" has a French origin and was coined from the words entre, which means "between," and prendre, which means "to take." ENTREPRENEURSHIP The word “entrepreneur” was derived from the French verb enterprendre, which means “to undertake.” This is pinpointing to those who “undertake” the risk of enterprise. The enterprise is created by an entrepreneur and the process is called “Entrepreneurship.” ENTREPRENEURS An entrepreneur is a unique individual who has the innate ability and extraordinary dedication to establish and manage a business, acknowledging all the risks and reaping its rewards. ENTREPRENEURS It entails a holistic business talent to be considered one, ranging from product and marketing expertise to operations agility, and to financial proficiency. ENTREPRENEURS An entrepreneur is successful if the business that he or she envisioned has materialized into a thriving industry with regular customers and financial gain. He or she either decides to maintain his or her business or expand.
