Surah : Al-Fatiha 🍀 All praise is for Allah, the Rabb of the Worlds. 🍀 The Compassionate, the Merciful. 🍀 Master of the Day of Judgement. 🍀 You alone we worship and You alone we call on for help. 🍀 Guide us to the Right Way. 🍀 The Way of those whom You have favoured; not of those who have earned Your wrath, or of those who have lost The Way. 🍀 Taraweeh 1 T  Taraweeh 1 - Part 1 Surah : Al-Baqarah : Section 1 to 4 🌴 Alif Lam Meem. This is the Book in which there is no doubt. It is a guidance for the God conscious. 🌴 The Quran is a guidance for those who believe in Allah, establish Salaah, spend in charity, believe in this Revelation and those sent before and firmly believe in the Hereafter. 🌴 The hearts of disbelievers have a disease of hypocrisy and Allah has increased this disease and they shall have a painful punishment for the lies they have told. 🌴 Allah leaves them to be deaf, dumb and blind, and they will never return to the Right Way. 🌴 To those who believe and do good deeds, there is Paradise with fruits similar to what they eat here and chaste virgin spouses to live with forever. 🌴 It is Allah who has created for you all that is in the earth and the seven heavens. He has perfect knowledge of everything. 🌴 Angels were apprehensive of Allah creating humans. They reasoned that humans will create mischief and shed blood. Allah said to the angels: “I know, what you know not”. 🌴 Allah taught Adam (a.s) the names of all the things in heaven. Allah then asked the angels the names to which they said that they have no knowledge except what Allah has taught. 🌴 Adam (a.s) was able to reply all the names, thus sealing his superiority. 🌴 Allah then says to the angels “I know the secrets of the heavens  and the earth and I know what you reveal and what you conceal”. 🌴 Allah then ordered the angels to prostrate before Adam. All the angels prostrate before Adam (a.s) except Iblees who refused in his arrogance and became a disbeliever. 🌴 Adam (a.s) was asked to dwell in Paradise with his wife and eat everything, except from one tree. 🌴 Shaitaan (Iblees) tempted Adam (a.s) and his wife to disobey. Allah asked them to get down from Paradise and earth will be their abode and provision for a certain period. 🌴 Allah taught Adam (a.s) duas to repent and Adam (a.s) did, and Allah accepted his repentance, as He is Most Merciful, Acceptor of Repentance. 🌴 Taraweeh 1 - Part 2 Surah : Al-Baqarah : Section 5 to 8 🌹 The Children of Israel are reminded of the favors that Allah bestowed upon them. 🌹 (“Israel” means the slave of Allah and this was another name given to Prophet Yaqub (a.s). Yaqub (a.s) is the grandson of Ibrahim a.s and the son of Ishaaq a.s. He had twelve children from whom came twelve tribes that constituted the banu Israel or the Children of Israel. 🌹 Allah commands the Children of Israel to believe in this Revelation (the Holy Quran), which confirms their earlier scriptures (the Torah) and to be not amongst those who deny. 🌹 Reminder is given to the Children of Israel of the various events  they witnessed and Allah’s favours upon them. 🌹 Reminder is made of the incident of Firaun’s torture upon them and how Allah delivered them from the people of Firaun. 🌹 Reminder is made of the incident where Allah made an appointment of forty nights with Musa (a.s) and in his absence they took the calf for worship. 🌹 Reminder is made of the Torah being revealed to Musa (a.s), in which there is the criterion of right and wrong so that they may be rightly guided. 🌹 Reminder is made of the incident when Musa a.s prayed for water for his people. Allah asked that Musa a.s strike the rock with his staff. Twelve springs came out of it and each tribe was assigned its own drinking place. 🌹 Reminder is made of the incident when Allah lifted the mount Toor, and commanded the people to hold firm to the Torah and follow the commandments, so that they may become pious. 🌹 Reminder of the incident, when Musa (a.s) said to his people: “Allah commands you to sacrifice a cow”, and the people ridiculed Musa. 🌹 They then asked Musa (a.s) to request from Allah details of the cow, its age, its color and the exact type of cow. Finally, they slaughtered it, making it difficult for themselves and almost in denial of Allah’s command. 🌹  Taraweeh 1 - Part 3 Surah : Al-Baqarah : Section 9 to 12 🌲 Reminder is made of the incident when one person (from among the Children of Israel) killed a man. Allah ordered the body to be struck with a piece of the slaughtered cow. Allah then brought him back to life, thus showing His Signs. 🌲 Even with all these Signs and Reminders, the people’s hearts were hard like a rock. 🌲 Allah’s reminder that the People of the book corrupted their religion, writing the Book with their own hands, and altering it as per their desires. 🌲 What other punishment do they deserve than disgrace in this life and grievous punishment in the Hereafter. 🌲 The Israelites (the Jews living at the time of Prophet s.a.w.s) do not want to believe in this revelation (i.e the Quran) as it has not come from amongst the Israelites, but it has come from an Arab. 🌲 They deny this Revelation, although they were waiting for this final message. Allah’s curse is on such disbelievers. 🌲 Mention is made of Sulaiman (a.s) and that he was a firm believer. But the later people accepted what the shaitans falsely attributed to the kingdom of Sulaiman. 🌲 It was these shaitans who were the unbelievers and they taught witchcraft to the people and falsely attributed polytheism to the kingdom of Sulaiman 🌲 The knowledge of witchcraft was originally revealed through two angels Haroot and Maroot in the city of Babylon as a test to the people. 🌲 These two angels kept saying to the people that they have been sent to tempt them and they should not renounce their faith. But the people kept learning from them, the magic which could cause discord between husband and wife; although, they could harm none with it except with Allah’s permission. 🌲 These people knew well that the buyers of magic will have no share in the happiness of Hereafter. Surely, they sold their souls for a bad price. 🌲 Taraweeh 1 - Part 4 Surah : Al-Baqarah : Section 13 to 16 🍀 Many people from among the early books (Jews and Christians) wish they could turn you from belief to unbelief, due to their selfish envy. 🍀 Establish Salaah (prayers) and pay Zakaath and you shall find your good deeds with Allah in the hereafter. 🍀 When Allah decrees a thing He says “Be” and it becomes - Kun Fayakuun. 🍀 The people ask why Allah does not speak face to face. Allah has shown so many signs and what clearer sign could be there than this Book. Allah’s guidance is the only guidance. 🍀 Reminder is made of the incident when Ibraheem (a.s) and Ismail (a.s) cleansed the Kabah and Ibraheem (a.s) prayed to Allah to make Makkah a secure town and provide its people with plenty of fruits and foods. 🍀 Ibraheem (a.s) and Ismail (a.s) raised the foundations of the Kabah and made a beautiful dua together- “Accept this from us,  O Allah and make us both Muslims, (submissive to you), and also our descendants and show us ways of worship and accept our repentance. You are the Acceptor of repentance, the Merciful. 🍀 O our Rabb, appoint from among us a Rasool who shall recite Your Revelations and teach them the Book and the Wisdom, and purify them”. (The answer to this prayer is our beloved Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s.). 🍀 The past nations are responsible for what they did and you are responsible for what you do, you shall not be questioned for their deeds. 🍀 Taraweeh 1 - Part 5 Surah : Al-Baqarah : Section 17 to 21 🍁 East and West belongs to Allah. He guides whomsoever He wishes to the Right Way. 🍁 Instruction to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s) to turn his face towards Al Masjid Al-Haram (the earlier Qiblah before this verse was Jerusalem and Prophet s.a.w.s. was hoping that it be changed to Makkah). 🍁 People of the book (Jews and Christians), recognize that this is the true Book, just as they recognize their own sons. But a group of them deliberately conceal the truth. 🍁 Wherever you are, turn your face during Salaah to Masjid Al- Haram. 🍁 Remember Allah and Allah will remember you. Be grateful to Allah and never deny Allah. 🍁 Seek Allah’s help with patience and prayer. Surely Allah is with those who are patient. 🍁 Allah will surely test you with fear and famine, loss of property, life and produce. Good news is given to those who endure with patience. 🍁 When it is said, follow what Allah has revealed, some people reply Nay, we shall follow what our forefathers have practiced. 🍁 Condition is laid out to eat halal meat. Allah has forbidden dead meat, blood, flesh of swine, and on that wherein besides Allah’s name has been invoked. 🍁 There are people who conceal a part of the Book which Allah has revealed and they do this for a petty price. They swallow nothing but fire into their bellies. 🍁 Surely, those who argue about the Book (the Quran) are in extreme divergence. 🍁
