I was assigned a project on Enumerating Fish’s internal viscera and assaying its antibiotic sensitivity, which I could efficiently complete under the supervision and guidance of the professionals of the laboratory.  Internship/ Dissertation work at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Completed my dissertation work at IIT, KGP (Clinical Biomarkers Research Laboratory). I had hands-on experience of various biochemical assays like PCR, ELISA, Western blotting. I have also conducted sample fixation for FTIR , performed RNA and protein isolation. My day to day activities in the lab included assisting my guide in her experiments and thorough learning about the techniques that were being performed. I have also been part of a group work in college wherein we isolated soil bacteria, cultured it and observed how it aided in plant growth. I am well aware of all the basic microbiological techniques like plating (spread plate, pour plate), streaking, making dilutions, sterilization, media preparation.
