Dear Father, Ladies and Gentlemen, Rose and myself would like to welcome you all and thank you for coming to this very special occasion to celebrate the marriage our very special son, Márcus, to his beautiful bride Donna. It is good to see so many family, and friends here, some of whom have travelled long distances to be here today. Particularly, I would like to offer Kevin and Deirdre, Donna's parents, - as well Donna's sister and brother, Denise and Nick, - her grandad, Dave - and, of course, Alex, a warm welcome as our families join together today. As you can imagine, Rose and I are very proud of Márcus and we are so pleased to see him looking so happy today. Over the years, we have had the honour of seeing Márcus grow up to be a very kind, caring and giving young man. He has always provided us with lots of happiness and have always been proud of everything he has done. In the time we have known Donna, we have come to realise how special she is to Márcus and a what a great daughter-in-law she will be. With that, we would like to formerly welcome Donna to the Foley family. Rose is especially fond of Donna which is evident from the fact she is just quietly sobbing instead of all out bawling at her baby getting married. PAGE 1 Little bits about Márcus that you might like to know. When he was a little boy, he was big Mr T. fan and had Mr T boxers. One day he had a small accident, he looked down through tears and announced: "Sorry Mr T. Márcus didn't mean it!" I also see that Márcus is looking very smart in his Bow Tie today. His love of bow ties goes back many years and he used to wear a bow tie to mass when he was little. This was very important to him as we found out one day when we tried to dress him in another way, his hands went on his hips, he refused to leave and announced 'No Bow, No Go!" As his bulging wardrobe and smart look today would suggest, he still has style! To finish we hope you all enjoy the rest of the day. I would like to raise my glass and ask you to stand and join me in a toast to wish Márcus and Donna a long and happy married life. PAGE 2
