1.Education ministry - teaching 3 Ministry the young and ignorant of our 2.Health care ministry - care of Founders the sick 3.Pastoral care ministry - outreach activities Paulinian Core Values CHRIST- CENTEREDNESS A Christ-centered life begins with realizing that the source of everything we are is the Lord. He created us, he owns us, he gifted us with talents, he authors our story, and every blessing that we receive comes from him (Gen 1, Acts 17:26, James 1:17). CHRIST- CENTEREDNESS Specific Values: Follows and imitates Christ, doing everything in reference to Him, dependent on God, integrity, deep personal relationship with God, love of Christ, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, inner peace. CHRIST- CENTEREDNESS Behavioral Indicators: Practice of personal prayer, active liturgical and sacramental life, in school and in the parish, observance of Catholic practices such as regular attendance at Sunday Mass, Confessions, etc. Christ-centeredness Fr. Louis Chauvet dedicated his life to serving God and the Church. He was deeply committed to the spiritual development of his parishioners and the sisters. He emphasized daily prayer, the sacraments, and living according to the teachings of Christ. Christ-centeredness The first sisters, led by Marie Anne de Tilly, embraced a life of prayer and devotion. They followed a rigorous spiritual routine that included regular attendance in mass, prayer, and reflection, keeping Christ at the center of their lives. CHARISM There is a variety of gifts, but always the same spirit (1 Cor 12:4). The Paulinian imitates St. Paul in his recognition to and respect for the gifts given to each person. She realizes that each gift is for a different purpose, but all for the CHARISM The Paulinian accepts the uniqueness of his/her own talents, developing them to the full so that they can better serve their purposes. Yet always, he/she seeks the higher gifts (1 Cor CHARISM Specific Values: Valuing and pursuing lifelong learning, highly-motivated, gives best in everything she does, generous of one's talents, time, and treasures, critical thinking, research, thirst for Knowledge. CHARISM Behavioral Indicators: Love for study, reading, class participation, attendance in seminars, curiosity, proper study habits, wise use of the Internet and electronic media, membership in clubs and organizations, participation in programs that Charism Fr. Louis Chauvet’s leadership and vision inspired others to join his mission. His charisma and dedication attracted the first sisters who shared his vision and were willing to devote their lives to God and the service of others. Charism The sisters demonstrated charismatic leadership by their example and dedication. Their commitment to their mission and their ability to inspire and attract others to join their cause was evident in the growth and expansion of their community and work. CHARITY For a Paulinian, following Christ means loving everyone the way Christ loves (Eph 5.1-5). Christ's love is the motivating force, the power that drives the Paulinian's life as embodied in the Paulinian motto, CARITAS CHRISTI URGET CHARITY Specific Values: Openness, acceptance, hospitality, gentleness, kindness, loyalty, compassionate caring, tact, fidelity, kind language, concern for the deprived, forgiveness. CHARITY Behavioral Indicators: Friendliness, warmth, joy, lightness of spirit, being all to all, generously contributing to charitable and worthy projects, almsgiving, among others. Charity Fr. Louis Chauvet founded the congregation in response to the needs of the poor and uneducated in his parish of Levesville-la- Chanard, France. He recognized the importance of education and charity and established the congregation to serve these needs. Charity The sisters, provided free education to the poor children of the parish, teaching them reading, writing, and catechism. They also engaged in various acts of charity, such as visiting the sick, caring for the need, and proving moral and spiritual support to the community. COMMUNITY Community calls for RESPECT FOR PERSONS, HUMAN LIFE, and FAMILY LIFE COMMUNITY Specific Values: respect for cultural differences and diversity, sense of belonging, national identity, mutuality, freedom of discrimination, being all to all, cooperation, solidarity, collegiality, dialogue, communication, interdependence, connectedness, locally and globally. COMMUNITY Behavioral Indicators: respect for attitude towards all persons; sensitivity to others’ needs; sharing of resources; caring for the earth; civic action and community services; action to promote and protect the welfare of children, women, human COMMISSION This means STEWARDSHIP, SERVICE, and WITNESS. COMMISSION Specific Values: peace, leadership, courage, tranquil daring, creativity, entrepreneurship, sense of responsibility, accountability.
