Career: Create a partnership with MS and HS CCMR teachers to ensure comprehension and alignment of current programs of study and pathways. CCMR teachers will collaborate to present the most accurate information to MS students and build investment. Military: Improve military CCMR presentations by including all branches and coordinate with CTE counselor for recruiter representation in school events. When needed, CCMR teachers can bridge meetings between recruiters, students, and parents to make an informed decision. CCMR Systems: CCMR teachers will receive guidance on monthly tasks, meetings, data analysis, and campus and district events for participation / support. CCMR Systems: HS CCMR teachers will collaborate with counselors to discuss priority students not on track through Priority Student Tracking. Accountability: For A rating in CCMR, we need 88% Campus CCMR Support Teams Campus CCMR Support Teams Purpose of the Plan: 1. Ensure cross collaboration between support staff. 2. Collaborate and facilitate on how to successfully to best support students in achieving college, career, or military readiness. 3. Structured monthly updates to ensure accountability and Lone Star Governance (LSG) metrics are met Campus CCMR Support Teams One Pager Campus CCMR Team Members and Meeting Details CCMR Collaboration Enhancing CCMR Success Through Collaboration Working together across different departments can significantly improve outcomes for college, career, and military readiness. Collaborative efforts leverage diverse skills and resources, leading to more comprehensive support systems. Example: Collaboration: Financial Aid facilitators, counselors, and CCMR teachers work together to organize workshops and family informational nights that cover financial aid options, application processes, and college planning. Outcome: Students and their families receive detailed information about scholarships, grants, loans, and budgeting, combined with guidance on college selection and application strategies. EAF Grant Effective Advising Framework (EAF) A clear vision for districts and schools to develop and implement an individual planning system within their comprehensive school counseling program Effective Advising helps students make connections to and through their educational pathways. It’s more than just an annual meeting with a counselor and involves partnerships that strengthen K-12 advising services. The approach emphasizes incorporating career and academic services into existing programs for a seamless experience, ensuring all student services are impartial, unbiased, and equitable. The EAF supports this mission by providing the resources needed for high-quality advising services and ensuring every student has access to comprehensive and effective advising support. Upcoming Deliverables September 30, 2024 The following items will be due in google classroom. 1. At least lesson 1 tracked in your services tracker 2. Exit Tickets and Rosters / Lesson Artifacts for Lesson 1 3. Parent Outreach date scheduled September 20th Planning Day CCMR Teachers Please use this day to: Plan with other teachers as needed Plan and schedule priority student meetings Conference with counselors if needed Get your deliverables ready Create materials for your lessons Prep for any upcoming camps (ACT/TSI) Other items that may be campus specific Updates Campus Communication Plan ○ Share CCMR events, spotlights, highlights, and celebrations with your: Digital Communications Manager (Marquee and Social Media) Blackboard Manager (usually an AP) Flyers and Signage must be approved by your principal October Parent Modules: Will be ready September 24 Skyward Migration - Transcripts audits in progress from mid October to mid November Pathways Pathways will be used as an additional tracking system. Benefits: Counselors can help students make informed decisions by recommending future coursework based on student goals. Pathways organizes all the student data so that completed requirements are clearly indicated with a checkbox in or a color. Explore specific data points by clicking on various data links throughout the Pathways Worksheet for each student. This includes the various diploma types, employability skills, CTE programs of study, and Post-Secondary Planning. It also includes an area to track students who will be using a waiver if needed. Accountability measures and additional funding measures can also be tracked. ○ Reference Sheet College Credit Yielding Courses and other Advanced Courses Dual Credit with STC Enrollment of historically underserved students, targeting at-risk an economically disadvantaged Provides dual credit at no cost to students Offers rigorous instruction and accelerated courses Increases college readiness Students take a course at Donna ISD for the purpose of gaining high school and college credit simultaneously Partnered with STC who certifies teachers to teach at their respective high schools while teaching an STC course Teachers teach at their respective high school but need to be certified with STC to teach the STC course Courses Needed to be Core Complete English 1301 English 1302 English 2323 English 2341 Math 1412 Math 1414 History 1301 History 1302 Government 2305 Government 2306 Biology 1406 Biology 1407 Dual Credit with UT OnRamps Become a student within the University of Texas System Students don’t need TSIA to enroll on OnRamps Students have a home base teacher as well as a UT professor for coursework Students may begin taking classes as early as their sophomore year. Because state and federal laws change frequently, it also explains how to find current laws, rules, and guidelines related to WBL. WBL provides students opportunities to learn technical, academic and employability skills. WBL is employer driven and prepares students for their future career. WBL is a critical component of a high-quality CTE program. Teachers will learn what authentic WBL is and how to ensure students learn the skills and knowledge appropriate for their career pathway through collaborative partnerships with education service centers, workforce development boards, community-based organizations, and local employers. After successful completion of this course, participants can print a certificate of completion. CCMR Blooket Challenge How to Play Gold Quest Gold Quest is a Blooket game-mode. The game centers on players trying to get to the top of the leaderboard while having gold stolen from them by others. Gameplay All players start with 0 gold and try to work their way up the leaderboard by getting correct answers. Questions are set on a loop and the order is randomized. Not everyone gets the same question at the same time. If someone gets an answer incorrect, they will be forced to wait 5 seconds to continue while all other players continue answering questions unless they also get it incorrect, they will also need to wait 5 seconds, although it will never be from the same timer. If they answer correctly however, they are required to pick from one of three chests. They could be: +x gives the contestant x gold. Lose 25% or 50%: -25% or 50% amount of gold from the player's total amount of gold. Double Gold: Doubles the player's total amount of gold. Triple Gold: Triples the player' total amount of gold. SWAP!: Allows the player to swap their amount of gold with another player's gold. This can either be really good if the player is near the bottom of the leaderboard or bad if they're near or at the top of the leaderboard. Steal 10% or 25%: Allows the player to steal either 10% or 25% of another player's gold. Nothing: It does absolutely nothing. Thank you for your commitment to our Number One Student Outcome!
