Engineering: Engineers make new structures and buildings, bridges, materials, foods, tools, factory processes etc. Electronic engineers build and write programs for computers and robots. Inventing: Inventors make new and useful things to help people.  WHAT DOES A TECHNOLOGIST DO? Use raw materials to build bridges and tunnels Build and launch rockets and satellites. Develop new kinds of plants and animals. Build nuclear power stations Grow living things to make new products. TECHNOLOGISTS AT WORK BIOTECHNOLOGISTS TECHNOLOGISTS AT WORK CHEMICAL AND INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERS  HOW DOES A TECHNOLOGIST USE SCIENCE? Technologists makes use of science, for example to: Make boats, vehicles and factories.
