# Reviewer in Research ## Sampling Methods - **Sampling** is the process of selecting representatives in a population. - **Population** is the group from which the respondents will be drawn. - **Probability Sample** - the elements have an equal chance of being selected. - **Non-Probability Sample** - the elements do not have an equal chance of being selected. ### The Sampling Methods - **Simple Random Sampling(SRS)** - has equal opportunities that each member of the population might be selected as a sample. - **Systematic Sampling** - done by determining the interval in the population. - **Stratified Random Sampling** - Different groups comprising the population are equally represented. - **Cluster Random Sampling** - this primarily aims to identify the convenience natural seem in groups. - **Multi-stage Random Sampling** - this method is used when conducting big investigations involving provincial, regional, or national studies. - **Purposive Sampling** - if the researcher aims only to select the unit or group that is of interest and who are deliberated included in his study. ## Other Sampling Methods - **Convenience Sampling** - if the researcher only aims to select the people who are available at the moment that the investigation is ongoing. - **Quota Sampling** - If the researcher aims only to improve representativeness in which certain characteristics are to be considered from what researcher wants to measure.
