Describe the differences between asexual and sexual reproduction, and identify the advantages and disadvantages of each. Identify and know the function of: ○ Male - Foreskin, bladder, glands, penis, scrotum, sperm ducts, testes and urethra ○ Female - Bladder, cervix, oviduct (fallopian tube), ovary, urethra, uterus/womb, vagina, labia, clitoris Know where testosterone and oestrogen are made Identify the main changes associated with puberty, including: ○ Male - growth spurt, hair growth, acne, muscles, voice, emotional changes, sperm production, changes in responsibilities ○ Female - growth spurt, hips, breasts, menstrual cycle/periods, hair growth, egg production, emotional changes, changes in responsibilities describe the steps leading up to pregnancy, including ovulation, fertilization and implantation. Describe the menstrual cycle and identify important events in the cycle: menstruation (period), ovulation, thickening of uterus lining Describe the function of oestrogen and progesterone in the menstrual cycle.
