All organisms are made up of one or more cells 2. The cell is the basic unit of all organisms 3. All cells come from existing cells ## Difference between Prokaryotic & Eukaryotic Cell - Prokaryotic is a single-celled organism that does not have a nucleus or membrane-bound organelles and uses flagella to move (DNA in cytoplasm) - Eukaryotic is an organism made up of cells that contains DNA in a nucleus, and membrane-bound organelles ## Animal Cell organelles and functions 1. Cell Membrane: covers the cell and controls what goes in & out of the cell (made of proteins & lipids) - move in & out of the cell - osmosis is a special kind of cell diffusion
