Understanding Microsoft Views Quarter 1 Lesson 3 Viewing the Presentation 1. NORMAL VIEW shows your slide as it will appear during your presentation. You can edit your slide from this view. 2. SLIDE SORTER VIEW shows a miniature of each slide. Within this view, you will see thumbnail sized representations of all slides in your presentation. The best use of this view is when you have to select multiple slides, you can quickly reorder, delete, or duplicate your slides. 3. SLIDE SHOW VIEW shows the slide just like in the actual slide show. You cannot edit your slide from this view. 4. NOTES PAGE VIEW allows the speaker to add notes. 5. OUTLINE VIEW provides access to your presentation’s text outline through the alternating slides and outlines panes on the left side of the PowerPoint interface. This view displays all the text contained within the title and text placeholders of your slides. 6. PRINT PREVIEW shows how presentation will look on the printed paper. 7. READING VIEW helps you in quickly navigating through slides and also allows easy access to the Windows taskbar at the same time to switch to other available open programs or windows. 8. SLIDE MASTER VIEW is a special feature in PowerPoint that allows you to quickly modify the slides and slide layouts in your presentation. From there, you can edit the slide master, which will affect every slide in the presentation. 9. HANDOUT MASTER VIEW is used to edit the appearance of presentation handouts, including the layout, headers and footers, and background. Changes made to the handout master appear on all pages of the printed handout. 10. PRESENTER VIEW is a purpose-built view that accompanies slide show view. This view is beneficial in an environment that has at least two displays such as laptop and a projector.
