7th Butterfly Session 2023 Policy in IPSF Development of Policies in IPSF “ The Policy Committee is chaired by the Policy Coordinator, and is supervised by the President. The Public Health Advocacy Coordinator, Pharmacy Education Advocacy Coordinator, Pharmacy Professional Awareness Coordinator and the Chairpersons of the Regional Offices serve as co- ” opted members. Developing World Health Assembly interventions. Policy Development in WHA Policy Development in WHA WHA Agenda Topics Presentation Inputs Delivery Policy Statement Policies into Advocacy in IPSF Translation of Policies into Advocacy in IPSF After development of policy statements, they are translated into actions through: 1. Advocacy Coordinators. 2. Member Associations. 3. Executive committee members. Coordinators Involved in Advocacies in IPSF Coordinators Involved in Advocacies in IPSF There are three coordinators especially involved in translating policies to advocacies/actions in IPSF, They include: 1. Public Health Advocacy Coordinator. 2. Pharmacy Education Advocacy Coordinator. 3. Pharmacy Professional Awareness Coordinator. Public Health Advocacy Coordinator Serve as the second focal point of the Federation for the World Health Organization (WHO). Pharmacy Professional Awareness Coordinator Promote and guide the initiation of Pharmacy Profession Awareness Campaigns at national and local Member Organizations. Act as a focal point of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Board of Pharmacy Practice. Pharmacy Education Advocacy Coordinator Promotion of pharmacy education involvement and advocacy among IPSF members. Provision of guidance on ways of improving pharmacy education in member countries.
