Police Hierarchy ▪ Chief of Police : The leader, in charge of the whole department. ▪ Deputy Chief : Helps the Chief and manages different parts of the department. ▪ Captain : Oversees specific areas or units. ▪ Lieutenant : Manages a team of officers. ▪ Sergeant : Supervises officers on the street. ▪ Officer : The main workers who patrol, investigate, and respond to calls. Key Departments ▪ Patrol Division : Regular officers who patrol neighborhoods and respond to emergencies. ▪ Criminal Investigation Division (CID) : Detectives who investigate serious crimes like theft, assault, and murder. ▪ Traffic Division : Officers who handle traffic violations and accidents. ▪ Community Policing : Officers who work closely with community members to solve local issues.
