Software Development and Multimedia Systems are areas for BSIT program Software customization and Web applications development are areas under Software Development Game development and E-learning systems are areas under Multimedia Systems a capstone project is composed of 2 to 4 members As a rule of thumb, a capstone project should have 20 or more related literature Approval Sheet contains the name of the author/s and the capstone project title Introduction provides a brief description of the technology to be used in the conceptualization and development of the capstone project Methodology presents the materials and methods to be used in the study Review of Related Literature components are Systems Technical Background and Synthesis Project Context Describes the existing and prevailing issues or problems that made the researcher develop a solution for introducing the project Objectives of the Study Includes a statement of the purpose/s or objective/s of the study Purpose and Description Includes purpose of developing the project and discusses the reasons why the research has to be undertaken Conceptual Framework uses the Input-Process-Output (IPO) model Scope and Limitation of the Study Describes the nature, coverage, and time frame of the study Time and Place of the Study Includes the period when the study was conducted, from preparation of the outline to the preparation of the manuscript **About Capstone Project** - A capstone project proposal/outline must be approved and submitted before the students can conduct their study - *Student* *Researchers* should have a final and approved title, clear and attainable objectives, well-defined, clear limitations of the study, and the time and place of the study - The most important task of the students is to explore the related literature prior capstone projects - As a rule of thumb, a capstone project study should have 20 or more literature in its RRL to ensure its soundness and credibility - In RRL the literature must be published in the last 5 years, however, older literature may be allowed if very few publications can be found on the topic under study - The *title* is the first page of a capstone project manuscript - The *Definition of Terms* defines terms, words, or phrases which have a unique meaning in the study - In *Synthesis*, the researcher should be able to justify that the project is working on by summarizing the content of *Review of Related Literature* - In *Requirement* *documentation*, it discusses what the software will do that includes the modules of the proposed system/solution with the description - In *System* *development* the researcher should include the model that will be used in the study **Seven (7) parts of Introduction:** - Project Context - Objectives of the Study - Purpose and Description - Time and Place of the Study - Scope and Limitation of the Study - Conceptual Framework - Definition of Terms **Three (3) parts of RRL:** - Related Literature and Studies - Systems Technical Background - Synthesis **5 specific objectives of the study and discuss/explain each objective** **Chapter 4 and 5:** - Results and Discussion - Summary - Conclusion - Recommendation - References **Conceptual framework of your study** **Descriptive interpretation of the mean** **Use case diagram with actors (user and admin) of Point of Sale System**
