Is a group of lines. There are different types of stanza depending of the no. of lines that compose it. METER Measurement of the poem. There are two ways to identify the meter of the poem. 1. looking at the arrangement of number of syllable per line. 2. by looking at the stress and unstressed syllable counts. RHYME It is the likeness of sound in poetry RHYTHM It pertains to the succession and alternation of rhymes. RHYME SCHEME Rhythmic pattern Assignment of letters to each set of rhymes of the poem. TONE Over all impression THEME Basic element or the main idea. LESSON The moral or the value rednder.
