PHYSICAL FITNESS Health-related Skill-related Fitness Fitness Good Health Enhanced Performance Components of Physical Fitness Health-related Skill-related Fitness Fitness Body Composition Speed Cardiovascular endurance Balance Flexibility Agility Muscular Strength Power Muscular Endurance Coordination Reaction Time Health-related Fitness Body Composition is used to describe percentage of fat, bone, water & muscle. Cardiovascular Endurance Is the ability of your heart, blood vessels, and lungs to supply oxygenated blood to working muscles in prolonged physical activity. Flexibility Is the range of motion available in the joint/s. Muscular Strength Is the amount of force a muscle can produce in a single effort. Muscular Endurance It refers to the ability of the muscle to exert force consistently and repetitively over a period of time. Skill-related Fitness Speed Is define as the ability to move the body in one direction as fast as possible. Balance Is the ability to control your body’s position whether stationary or moving. Agility The ability to rapidly change the position of the entire body in a space with speed and accuracy. Power It refers to a person’s ability to transfer energy into force at a rapid pace also known as explosive body movement. Coordination The ability to select the right muscle at the right time with proper intensity to achieve proper action. Reaction Time The interval between stimulation of an object and your response to it.
