### Study Guide Test 2.1 - After the American Revolution Congress feared that the rights the people fought for would be lost. - The long term effects of the Northwest Ordinance of 1787 was that territories eventually became states. - Shays' Rebellion was an important event because it led to the Constitutional Convention. - James Madison was called the "Father of the Constitution" because he was well prepared to lead a discussion on the convention. - The delegates of the Constitutional Convention agreed to have a country led by elected representatives. - The Great Compromise decided there would be a representation in Congress. - The great concern of those that opposed the Constitution was giving up state power to have a more powerful union. - The Federal system of government is power is shared by the Federal government and State government.
