The National Association of State EMS Officials (NASEMSO) guidelines have been utilized as a primary source, when required additional international organisations such as the Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee (JRCALC) have been uitilized. The Medical Oversight Team (MOT) has carefully reviewed the available data and formulated an overview guide to support pre-hospital clinical decision-making. As with all guidance, it is not possible to factor in every specific clinical presentation, and as such, this summary should be used in conjunction with clinical experience, critical thinking, and where required, senior clinical consultation. The MPS should only be applied by authorised clinicians who meet the academic requirements set by the Department of Health (DoH); clinicians are required to hold a valid DoH license to practice, and work within the Scope of Practice approved by the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA). Clinicians authorised to implement this guidance are Health Care Professionals, under the title of, Primary EMT, Advanced EMT, or Advanced Care Paramedic. The MPS is approved by the MOT and should be utilized as a reference guide to support the clinical management of patients. Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your dedication and commitment in providing the best Emergency Medical Services to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
