Readings and Study Questions This week we will look at theory and how it supports and enhances your nursing practice. We will also discuss the attainment of cultural competence and begin to look at the concept of Racism. Objectives for this week are: \*Introduce relevant transcultural nursing models with a focus on Purnell's model. (2+3) \*Discuss Influencing factors in cultural care as defined by the Transcultural Nursing Society (2+3) \*Provide a reflection on racism and how it is found in patient care.
