The structure may be formed by many diverse parts, but the parts work together toward a common objective. The word system connotes order, a plan, a method, or arrangement. A system has interacting, interrelated components, concerned with the same function, or in other words 'a set of connected things or parts ... an assemblage of objects united by some form of interaction or interdependencies'. For example, in the channel of distribution the components are consumers and those who influence them - retailers, suppliers – and those who provide services like advertising, delivery and so on.
