Sandrine Tousignant Memory Aid For the Interpreter’s Work or Rights for Live and Recorded Performances in France: ADAMI, Spedidam, and Sacem ADAMI DefiniAon: ADAMI is an organisaAon that was founded and is sAll currently present in France, with bilingual services (French and English) that presents access to arAsts all over the world. The goal of ADAMI is to support arAsts, mostly performers, with AdministraAon Services and Funding. ADAMI may also help with other aspects of the industry, such as concert preparaAons and concerts. Performers: musicians, dancers, actors, and conductors ADAMI also present services with contracts and agreements in the projects, protecAng the arAsts. Adami is present in 35 countries now, including Canada. SPEDIDAM = Copyright for interpreters Similarly to ADAMI, SPEDIDAM was founded in France (though present internaAonally), and offers services in French and English. SPEDIDAM $ distribuAon to arAsts: royalAes, equitability, and $ linked to copyright. Also, Sacem pays the arAsts in royalAes for their work, dividing the budget. Sacem also offers scholarships for arAsts’ projects. Sacem presents an emphasis on creaAvity, and includes arAsts such as writers, directors, comedians, and of course musicians.
