Courtesy Pay Courtesy Pay is a service that will be offered at Alliance Catholic Credit Union that allows us to pay an item presented for payment against a member's checking account even if it causes the account to become overdrawn. The Courtesy Pay Program at Alliance Catholic Credit Union will remain in compliance with terms and conditions of member account agreements and applicable regulations concerning courtesy pay or overdraft services. Courtesy Pay may provide certain account holders the ability to overdraw their personal or business checking accounts up to \$1,000, for a fee, as long as their accounts remain in "good standing" and they have not "abused" Courtesy Pay in the previous 12 month period. Business Checking Accounts are Opted In to Courtesy Pay automatically, and does not require documents to be signed. Only if the Business Decides to Opt Out do they need to sign the Courtesy Pay Opt In/Out form. [**Courtesy Pay Opt In/Out Procedure**](https://alliancecatholic.helpdocs.io/account-maintenance/courtesy-pay-procedures) **Fee:** **\$33 per transaction** ------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- **Maximum Limit:** \$1000 **Minimum Age:** 18 **Order Items are Paid:** First In, First Out **Other Eligibility Requirements:** Must qualify using ChexSystems. Overdraft Protection Overdraft protection (ODP) protects the member's checking account in the event there are not enough funds to cover an item that is presented for payment. Members can choose to have funds automatically transfer from their Primary Savings in the event they have an overdraft in their checking account. **The transfer can come from a Primary Savings and/or an Overdraft Line of Credit. Transfers are setup automatically when a Checking Account is created, or an Overdraft Line of Credit** ------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Transfer Fee:** **\$5 per transfer, if transferred from the Primary Savings. FREE if from the Overdraft LOC** ------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Additional Information - Both the Primary Savings and Overdraft LOC can be setup, it will pull from whichever is listed first, until funds are no longer available.
