The Credit Union utilizes Verafin, a BSA/AML Compliance and Fraud Monitoring software, to monitor activity on the member's account and creates an alert to review the activity. A SAR must be filed within 30 days after the date of initial detection of the suspicious activity. The 30-day period does not begin until an appropriate review is conducted and a determination is made that the transaction warrants a SAR filing (CUNA BSA e-school, 2016). If you suspect activity that would constitute filling a SAR, contact the [**ACCU Fraud Team**](mailto:[email protected]) right away. Courtesy Pay Courtesy Pay is a service that will be offered at Alliance Catholic Credit Union that allows us to pay an item presented for payment against a member's checking account even if it causes the account to become overdrawn. The Courtesy Pay Program at Alliance Catholic Credit Union will remain in compliance with terms and conditions of member account agreements and applicable regulations concerning courtesy pay or overdraft services. Courtesy Pay may provide certain account holders the ability to overdraw their personal or business checking accounts up to \$1,000, for a fee, as long as their accounts remain in "good standing" and they have not "abused" Courtesy Pay in the previous 12 month period. Business Checking Accounts are Opted In to Courtesy Pay automatically, and does not require documents to be signed. Only if the Business Decides to Opt Out do they need to sign the Courtesy Pay Opt In/Out form. [**Courtesy Pay Opt In/Out Procedure**](https://alliancecatholic.helpdocs.io/account-maintenance/courtesy-pay-procedures) **Fee:** **\$33 per transaction** ------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- **Maximum Limit:** \$1000 **Minimum Age:** 18 **Order Items are Paid:** First In, First Out **Other Eligibility Requirements:** Must qualify using ChexSystems. Basic Checking is not eligible. Qualifications If a member is 18 or older or a qualified Business and the account has been maintained in good standing, defined as A) Making regular deposits sufficient to cover transactions; B) Bringing the account to a positive balance - meaning not overdrawn for more than 30 days consecutively; - and; C) The account is not the subject of any legal process, the Credit Union may at their sole discretion, pay overdrafts up to the limits mentioned above, including our normal Non-Sufficient Funds Fee. Limitations This feature is available [only] on Alliance, Standard and Business Checking accounts. **We will limit the Courtesy Pay exposure to a maximum of up to \$1,000.00 per primary account holder, as identified by social security number or EIN/TIN and only one account will be allowed to have Courtesy Pay attached to it.** We reserve the right to not approve any overdrafts against any account until we can verify that the account is being maintained in good standing, as defined above. **For members that have multiple checking accounts, the member must decide which account will have the C-Pay tolerance and Opt In the account. Any and all other checking accounts will have to be Opted Out.** Account Fees Whether we pay or return a Non-Sufficient Funds item, a per-item fee will be charged to your account as a Non-Sufficient Funds Fee, as set forth in our Fee schedule.
