There were two small puddles. Maintenance was notified but had not yet placed a warning cone in front of the elevator. The accumulations of water were about 4 inches in diameter. Ms. X exited from the elevator, very quickly, and she lost her balance when she stepped into the puddle. She did not hit her head but did grab the wall which helped to ease her to the floor. The staff (Marylyn, Sunita, and Rehanna ) ran over to her. 911/medical evaluation was offered but she declined. She was able to walk normally and did not display evidence of any injury. Each time Mary comes in, her glucose is taken, to track and monitor her progress. If that patient were to sue the office stating her “sugar” control is no better after 6 weeks and your equipment must be faulty.
