PLANNING AND CONCEPTUALIZING AN ICT PROJECT FOR SOCIAL CHANGE Any project must be planned, and a plan starts with conceptualizing. The planning stage would results in the preparation of a project proposal. The project proposal is a summary of the project that has been conceptualized. THE PROPOSAL MAY CONTAIN 1. COVER LETTER 2. PROJECT TITLE 3. ABSTRACT 4. CONTEXT 5. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION 6. SCOPE AND CONSTRAINTS 7. OBJECTIVES 8. TARGET BENEFICIARY/AUDIENCE 9. PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE THE PROPOSAL MAY CONTAIN 1. COVER LETTER -A FORMAL LETTER ADDRESSED TO THE CONCERNED PERSON, OFFICE, OR ORGANIZATION WHICH APPROVES THE PROJECT. THIS COMMUNICATES THE CONCEPTUALIZED PROJECT. 2. PROJECT TITLE - WHAT THE PROJECT WILL BE CALLED, GENERALLY, A PROJECT TITLE SHOULD BE SHORT, ENTICING, EASY TO REMEMBER, AND RELEVANT TO ITS OBJECTIVES. THE PROPOSAL MAY CONTAIN 3. ABSTRACT - THE SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT. IT DISCUSSES WHAT THE PROJECT IS ABOUT IN GENERAL DETAILS. 4. CONTEXT - PRESENT THE CONTEXT OF THE PROJECT. THE PROPONENTS MAY FOCUS IN ONE OR COMBINATIONS OF THE CONTEXTS SUCH AS SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, POLITICAL, OR CULTURAL CONTEXT. 5. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION - THE RATIONALE OF THE PROJECT. OUTLINE THE DEPTH OF THE PROBLEM OR ISSUE AND ITS URGENCY OR REASON WHY A PROJECT MUST BE DEVELOPED THE PROPOSAL MAY CONTAIN 6. SCOPE AND CONSTRAINTS -THIS DEFINES THE EXTENT AND BOUNDARIES OF THE PROJECT 7. OBJECTIVE THESE ARE WHAT THE PROJECT INTENDS TO ACHIVE OR ACCOMPLISH. RESEARCH FOR ICT PROJECT AND AUDIENCE PROFILLING - RESEACRHING IS DONE BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER PLANNING. IT IS CONTINUOUS PROCESS THAT ENABLES THE TEAM TO GATHER ABD EVALUATE ALL THE VITAL INFORMATION NEEDED IN THE PROJECT. - THE TERM AUDIENCE PROFILLING MEANS KNOWING THE PROFILE OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED. THE PROFILE MEANS THE DEMOGRAPHICS AND PSYCHOGRAPHICS OF THE PEOPLE DESIGNING AND COPYWRITING ICT PROJECTS -DESIGNING REFERS TO THE PROCESS OF DESCRIBING, ORGANIZING, AND STRUCTURING THE COMPONENTS OF THE PROJECT. THE DESIGN IS COMPARABLE TO A BLUEPRINT WHEN CONTRUCTION A BUILDING. -DESIGNING DOES NOT ONLY REFER TO AESTHETICS.
