Dr. Christina Gamal Lecture 8 Picture, table and reference Use package graphicx to insert picture. Use the figure environment. Use \centering command to center the picture in the middle of the page. Use \includegraphics[options]{picture_name} command from the graphicx package to include picture in the text. Use \caption and \label to create caption and label for the figure. Use \ref to refer to the figure in the text. Sometimes we need to force a figure to be on the same page on the top, below, or just here. We can use the options argument to force the figure position. The argument specifies column alignment: (l)left, (r)right, (c)center. | specifies vertical lines and for horizontal lines use \hline.
