We were created for relationship with God and others - We humans are created to have a relationship with God - We are created by his hands and was given the breath of life unlike other things he created with his words o Everything else in the universe is created by his words - We are created in his image and likeness o This means we share although imperfectly, in the nature of God o We have the power to think, analyze, and reflect on di@erent matters o We were given attributes of intelligence, knowledge, spiritual understanding, creativity, wisdom, love, compassion, justice, etc.. § We are able to have these things because of God, because we share some aspects of God’s nature - God is spirit and so are we, that is why we are able to have communication with God o Other creations like animals don’t have eternal soul/spirit like humans - We humans can and do make moral judgments, we are the only creature/creation who can say no or yes to God o We share some aspects of God’s nature; however, we are also given the freedom to govern our own lives - God created “man” in His own image because He wanted a relationship with another sovereign person. o We are created to show his image and goodness in our daily lives, with one another - Only God alone is eternal; every created thing has a beginning - Eternal God rules over all His creation and He alone is worthy of worship
