You reply with how many members are in your family then proceed to list them. For example: 4 members. You reply- Watashi no kazoku wa YON NIN desu. Chichi to Haha to Otooto to Watashi desu (to- means and) Say you’re asked how many members are in Ken’s family- Ken-san no kazoku wa nan nin desu ka? You say- Ken-san no kazoku wa Yon nin (4) desu. Occupations What’s your occupation?- nani no shiteimasu ka? Doctor- Isha Banker- Ginkooin Office Worker- Kaishain Nurse- Kangoshi Lawyer- Bengoshi Housewife- Shofu University student- Daigakusei Middle school student- Chuugakusei High school student- Kookosei (not Coco, it’s coooocoseh. Here’s an example: Ken-san no otosan wa nani shiteimasu ka?- What does Ken’s father do? Say his father is a doctor. You would respond and say: Ken-san no otosan wa isha desu. Age nan sai desu ka?- How old are you? Ken is 19. His older brother is 34. Ken-san no nan sai desu ka?- How old is ken? Your response- Ken san no juukyuu sai desu. Ken-san no oni-san wa nan sai desu ka?- How old is Ken’s older brother? Your response- Ken san no oni san wa sanjuuyon sai desu.
