Business information systems: MIS -- Managing Information Systems DSS -- Decision Support System TPS -- Transaction Prossesing System 3. Data, information, knowledge and wisdom: Data is raw facts, with numbers, symbols, statistics Information is processed, interpretated and organized data Knowledge is a reflection based on information that helps to understand Wisdom, is using knowledge to resolve problems and a practical way of using knowledge and experience 4. This ensures smooth operations, like scheduling classrooms for students, managing payroll for staff, and overseeing procurement processes for library and IT equipment. CRM -- Customer Relationships Management its kind of software, that is salesforce automation. This system is created for tracking activities to sales team, tracking commissions (payments to salesmen). CRM enables organization to: Identify customers Understand customers behaviours Design marketing strategies Example: Netflix uses CRM to manage customer relationships by tracking subscription details, sending personalized emails (e.g., recommendations or subscription renewal prompts), and understanding user behavior to design targeted campaigns. These efforts encourage user retention and increase subscription renewals. SCM -- Supply Chain Management is a system that makes more efficient to distribute their products without wasting resources like time, money and products. Example: Rema uses a Supply Chain Management system to streamline the process of sourcing fresh fruits from farmers. The system helps determine optimal order quantities, ensures timely and efficient deliveries, and minimizes waste by selling fruits before they spoil.
