Learning support Assisting the teacher (teamwork) by promoting inclusion for students with special needs that are learning in the same classroom. Children may be treated individually or in groups. Group therapy includes the Sensory Motor, Handwriting, Prewriting, Perceptual Motor and the Alert Group. Occupational Therapy addresses physical and environmental areas so as to promote independence in learning, play and self-help tasks. Therapists also work in close collaboration with the children’s family members, teachers and with other professionals of the multidisciplinary team. Personal support- duties Toileting- cleaning, washing, undressing and dressing sanitary towels and pads. Taking care of mobility, posture and seating needs, lifting pupils, pushing wheelchairs.
