REASON OF AS IANS NOT M OV ING TO AM ERICAS o Though there were many factors which supported Asian going to the Americas, but many didn’t go because the local whites did not like immigrants from Asia, they were racist and the government passed laws that went against of new Asian migrants, this was because of the fear of losing all jobs COMPARISON BETWEEN CURRENT MIGRATION AND PAS T MIGRATION This will help in evaluating past migrations and current migrations, we can use the following factors to understand. Economic reasons: People moved for better jobs and living conditions, both then and now. Fear of outsiders: Immigrants faced discrimination and fear in both periods. Fitting in: Newcomers had trouble blending into their new homes in both times. Technology: Today, it’s easier to move and stay connected due to technology. Laws: Modern immigration laws are more detailed and varied. Migration patterns: Migration today is more global, not just from Europe to the Americas. THANK YOU
