Immunological Disease Objectives: Define immunological diseases and explain their causes. Identify common types of immunological diseases, such as allergic diseases, autoimmune diseases, and immunodeficiency disorders. Increase awareness of the prevalence and impact of immunological diseases. Immunological diseases, also known as autoimmune diseases, occur when the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own cells and tissues. This can lead to inflammation, tissue damage, and impaired function of affected organs. Common examples include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and multiple sclerosis. Crohn's disease is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. It can affect any part of the digestive system, from the mouth to the anus, but commonly impacts the ileum (the last part of the small intestine) and the colon. Preventions: Healthy diet Regular exercise Adequate sleep Regular health check ups Avoiding environmental triggers Thank you for listening!
